I also ended up getting every weapon under the sun dumped on me - at one point I had two pistols, an AR, a broken SFG, a broken EMP rifle, a laser rapier and a laser pistol. Watching five (?) spiders chase him round in circles as a distraction was absolutely hilarious, until two of them saw me. He did help me out in the sim room/spider trap: I think he was just scared, and hiding in chemstorage. ![]() Vurlix would disappear mysteriously from time to time, claiming that he was off 'researching' something, while I bravely took out a worm. Talk about the odd coupleĪnyway, we stuck together pretty well, which made the game more fun than a simple race to complete the objectives. It would also have helped if we had played our characters a bit better - I ended up basically a Marine with hacking (and for a period, no ranged weapons), and Vurlix a PSI guy with research and a laser rapier. I lost count of the alarms set off, even though it was my job as Navy to deal with them, and Vurlix would usually bail me out with Remote Electron Tampering. That's what (lack of) cooperation does for you. It's strange, you'd have thought that two players would find Hard a lot easier than one player on Impossible. WWF Von Braun Smackdown, this week featuring 'Vandal' Vurlix & 'Amoral' Ajare in brutal tag-team action against The 'Mental' Many, LIVE from some spaceship trillions of miles away from Earth. It renders Trip's multiplayer list pretty useless, really. Seriously, I should re-iterate, GET HAMACHI.
